Background

Ecomerchant, the UK’s leading environmental builder merchant, offers a wide range of building and decorating materials to satisfy the requirements of those people who are trying to minimise their environmental impact and create a healthier atmosphere both inside and outside the home and workplace.

Although their first website did sell a small amount of products online it was limited in its ability to provide a scalable ecommerce solution.

Tinderhouse solution

In order to provide a more efficient and scalable ecommerce solution Tinderhouse completely rebuilt the website. The website now provides clear product classification that helps to guide a user through the website to complete their purchase.

In line with Ecomerchant’s eco-friendly principles the website’s print version has been optimised to reduce the amount of paper and ink consumed. As part of Tinderhouse’s standard build quality the website can also be used on internet-ready mobile devices, such as mobile phones or PDAs, allowing customers to order building materials direct from a building site.

With over 700 products available at launch the website now provides a solid foundation for Ecomerchant to continue selling its products online.
