Video broadcasting made easy
Tags: Every now and then we stumble upon some innovative use of technology that has the ability reach the masses. Hellodeo is one such offering that brings video broadcasting and podcasting even closer together.
Simplicity is the name of the game here and it doesn’t get much easier. Through Hellodeo anyone with a webcam hooked up to their computer can record and playback a videocast. Once done a small snippet of code is provided to embed the video in a web page.
Potential
All of a sudden video can be added into the digital pool of tools that online publisher can draw on when needed. Podcasts have grown in popularity and provide a human element to the one-dimensional content of the web. Now videocasts can take it further and provide a face behind the voice.
One of many uses might be to support a product or press release from an organisation with a streaming videocast. Whilst this has been possible for large organisations with a healthy marketing budgets it has previously been out of the reach for many SMEs.
Although this is just one example the possibilities are enormous. It will be interesting to see how it gets used.
